Lassi | How to make Lassi| Medley-Of-Flavours

Lassi is a popular traditional yogurt-based drink that originated in the Indian subcontinent. Today we shall learn how to make a thick,creamy and delicious lassi with very few ingredients.



Ingredients:

  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 3 to 4 tsp powdered sugar
  • 2 drops vanilla essence (optional)
  • chopped almonds (for garnish)

Preparation:

  • In a bowl, take a cup of curd and beat it with a whisk or a spatula till it turns creamy and lump-free.
  • Add 1 cup of milk into the bowl.
  • Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Pour it in glasses and garnish with chopped almonds.
  • You can also garnish with your choice of dry fruits.
  • Serve it chilled.
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Servings: 2

Tip: 
  1. You can also use a blender to mix everything together.
  2. Do not over blend.
  3. Use thick curd and full fat milk for better lassi.

Carrot Milkshake | How to make Carrot Milkshake | Medley-Of-Flavours

Carrot Milkshake is one of the healthiest Milkshakes. It's one of a kind and very delicious to have and also, have a lot of health benefits like reducing infections, carrot prevents cancer and also boost your immunity. It takes a bit longer time to make this milkshake but, it's worth a try.


Ingredients:


  • 2 cups grated carrot
  • 1 cups water
  • 6-8 Cashews
  • 6-8 Almond
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

Preparation:

  • Soak almond and cashews in water few hours.
  • Peel the skin of almond.
  • In a grinder jar, take cashews,almond,cardamom powder and grind it to a fine paste.
  • In a bowl, boil grated carrot with water for 15 minutes,
  • Let it cool down completely.
  • Take boiled carrot into a mixer jar, and grind it to a fine paste.
  • Using a strainer, strain carrot juice from the fine paste.

How to make carrot milkshake:

  • In a blender jar, add carrot juice, sugar.
  • Add cashew and almond paste to it.
  • Add few ice cubes and milk.
  • Now, blend everything together.
  • Carrot Milkshake is ready to be served.

Idly Recipe | How to make Idly | Medley-Of-Flavours

Idly is the most loved South-Indian breakfast recipe of India. It is usualy served with sambar and chutney, mostly coconut chutney. Check out the recipe for soft idly.



Ingredients:

  1. 1/3 cup rice
  2. 1 cup Idly rice
  3. 1/3 cup Flattened rice(Poha)
  4. 1/3 cup urad dal
  5. Salt
  6. 1/4 tsp Cooking soda
  7. Water

How to make idly batter:

  • In a vessel, take rice,idly rice, flattened rice and urad dal and wash twice or thrice.
  • Now, soak the mixture in water for 3-4 hours.
  • After 3 hours, take a mixer jar, add rice mixture into it.
  • Blend it along with water into a smooth batter.
  • Fill the batter in a vessel, close it with a lid.
  • Let the batter rest for 8-9 hours.

How to make idly:

  • Take an idly plate, grease it with oil.
  • In idly batter add cooking soda and salt to taste.
  • Mix it well and let it rest for a 5 mins.
  • Take idly batter and fill into the idly plates.
  • Fill idly cooker with some water.
  • Place idly plates into the idly cooker and close its lid.
  • Cook for 15-17 minutes.
  • Idly is ready to serve.
  • Serve it with coconut chutney and sambar.
