Dosa Recipe | How to make Dosa | Medley-Of-Flavours
Dosa is a famous South-Indian cuisine. This tastes great when served with Coconut chutney and sambar. Check out the recipe below.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Rice
- 1/3 cup idly rice
- 2 tbsp Channa dal
- 1/3 cup urad dal
- Water
- Salt
- Oil
Preparation:
- Soak Idly rice,rice, chana dal and urad dal in water for 3-4 hrs.
- In a mixer jar take the soaked ingredients.
- Grind it into a fine paste by adding water if required.
- Let the mixture ferment for 8-10 hrs.
- Check the consistency of batter in the image below.
- Add water if required.
Making pesarattu:
- Take the batter in a bowl.
- Add salt to taste and cooking soda & mix well.
- Heat a non-stick pan or dosa tawa.
- Pour a ladle of dosa batter on to the pan.
- Spread the batter using a ladle in circular motion to make dosa.
- Spread some oil and let it cook on medium flame.
- Serve it with coconut chutney and sambar.
Notes:
- If you are using an Iron or aluminium tawa, first spread some oil on tawa before spreading the batter.
- Remaining batter can be kept in refrigerator for 3 days.
