Bisi bele bath is a traditional South-Indian dish mainly originated in karnataka. It has the flavours of most of the spices. It is a wholesome rice meal. Usually served along with Raita, Bondi or even tastes great with potato chips.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Rice
- 3/4 cup Toor dal
- 2 Potato
- 2 Carrot
- 5-6 Beans
- 5 cups water
- 5 tomatoes
- 4 tbsp Coconut
- 3 tbsp Homemade masala powder
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 4 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Pinch of Hing
- Curry leaves
Preparation:
- Wash rice,toor dal and vegetables.
- Chop the vegetables.
- In a pressure cooker take rice, toor dal, vegetables, water and cook till 2 whistles.
- In a mixer jar, take grated coconut, Homemade masala powder, salt, tomatoes and grind them.
- In a kadhai, heat ghee and oil together.
- Add mustard seeds and let them pop.
- Add curry leaves, hing and tomato mixture and saute well.
- Now add cooked rice and vegetables mixture.
- Adjust consistance by adding water if needed.
- Bisi bele bath is ready to serve.

Note:
- You can replace Rice with millets.
