Custard Halwa with Milk



Ingredients:
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup custard powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Chopped Dry fruits of your choice
Preparation:
  • In a pan heat a cup of milk with sugar.
  • Keep stirring till the sugar dissolves.
  • Grease a plate with ghee or butter.
  • In a bowl, take remaining milk and add custard powder in it.
  • Mix them well. Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Add the custard mixture to the milk gradually.
  • Keep stirring while adding the Custard mixture.
  • Keep stirring. It starts to thicken.
  • When the mixture is thick and changes colour , it is ready to be poured into the plate.
  • Spread the halwa on the plate equally.
  • Top it with some chopped dry fruits of your choice.
  • Let it set And cool down.
  • Place it in the refrigerator for an hour.
  • Slice the Halwa and serve.

Onion pakoda | How to make Onion Pakoda | Medley-Of-Flavours

Onion Pakoda


Ingredients:
  • 1 cup besan
  • 4 onions
  • 3 tbsp rice flour
  • 2 tbsp hot oil
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves
  • Oil to fry
  • Water
Method:
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil.
  • chop onions to your desired shape.
  • In a bowl, take copped onions and add besan, rice flour, salt chilli paste and salt.
  • Add hot oil on it.
  • Using a spoon mix everything well.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Mix it by sprinkling some water. It does not require more water.
  • Heat oil in a pan or kadhai.
  • Once the oil is hot, take some pakoda mix and drop it in oil gently.
  • Fry it till it turns golden brown.
  • Repeat the process till the pakoda mix is finished.
  • Serve it hot with ketchup or any chutney you like.

Masala Chapati | How to make Masala Chapati | Medley-Of-Flavours

Masala Chapati



Ingredients:
  • 1 Carrot
  • 2 Onions
  • 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Coriander
  • 1 Cup Atta / wheat flour
Method:
  • Finely chop onions. Finely chop coriander leaves.
  • Wash and grate the carrot.
  • In a Kadhai, heat 2 tbsp oil.
  • Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  • Add onions and grated carrot, sauté them for a while.
  • Add salt, green chilli paste and finely chopped coriander to it. 
  • Cook till the carrot softens.Let it cool down.
  • Add wheat flour, add water and make a dough with the mixture. Knead the dough for 5 mins.
  • Let it rest for 10 mins.
  • Divide the dough into small portions.
  • Using a Chapati rolling pin make Chapati.
  • Cook Chapati on a roti tawa using some ghee or oil.
  • Serve it with any gravy or fresh curd.
