Jackfruit Halwa | How to make Jackfruit Halwa | Medley-Of-Flavours





Ingredients:
  • 1 cup jackfruit
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp rice flour
  • 1/3 cup jaggery powder
  • Dry fruits of your choice

Preparation:
  • Chop jackfruit into small pieces.
  • Add cornflour and rice flour to the milk and mix them well.
Cooking:
  • In a pan, heat ghee.
  • Add chopped jackfruit and sauté.
  • Jackfruit softens after a while.
  • Add the milk mixture to the jackfruit.
  • Keep stirring continuously. The mixture thickens after a while.
  • Add jaggery. Mix everything well.
  • Add your choice of chopped dry fruits.
  • Jackfruit Halwa is ready to be served.

Cooking time: 5 mins

Paneer Butter Masala | How to make Paneer Butter Masala | Medley-Of-Flavours

Paneer butter masala

 
Ingredients:
  • 250 gms  Paneer cubes
  • 3 Tomatoes 
  • 2 Onions
  • 10-12 Cashews 
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1/4 tsp Amchur powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2-3 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera
  • Salt
  • Coriander
  • Honey for garnish
Method:
  • Chop onions and tomatoes.
  • In a pan, take some butter and sauté the chopped onion and tomatoes for a while.
  • Add cashew to it. 
  • Sauté them till the tomatoes become soft.
  • Take it off the stove. Let it cool down.
  • Blend it into a purée.
  • In the same pan, heat some more butter.
  • Add jeera, and the ginger garlic paste.
  • Add the purée.
  • Add jeera powder, coriander powder, amchur powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  • Mix all of them together.
  • Add 100ml water. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 10 mins.
  • Add paneer cubes, mix it with the purée.
  • Add garam Masala and coriander.
  • Cover it for  2-3 mins. Let it cook.
  • Paneer butter masala is ready to serve. Garnish it with some more butter and coriander.
  • Add honey if you like paneer butter masala to be sweet.
Preparations time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 20 mins
Serves: 2-3

Banana Pan Cakes | How to make Banana Pan Cakes | Medley-Of-Flavours

Pan cakes are fat cakes, often thin and round, prepared from a starch-based batter and cooked on a hot surface like a frying pan.

Ingredients:
  • 3 small bananas
  • 1 cup all purpose flour (maida)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter 
  • Honey/ Maple syrup for garnish

Preparation:

  • Peel the bananas and chop them into pieces.
  • Mash the banana pieces, add sugar.
  • Mix the mashed bananas and sugar together. Till everything mixes together.
  • Add all purpose flour.
  • Mix everything together.
  • Add milk gradually and keep mixing.
  • Add baking soda and pinch of salt.
  • Mix everything together. 
  • Add some more milk if the batter is too thick.

Cooking:

  • Heat a pan, spread some butter on it.
  • Pour the pan cake batter on the pan.
  • Wait till you see few bubbles on the pan cake.
  • Turn the pancake and let it cook for a while.
  • Once it is done. Take it in a plate and repeat the process.
  • Stake all the pan cakes and garnish it with butter and honey,
  • You can also serve it with some maple syrup instead of honey.
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time : 15 mins
Serving: makes 12-14 pan cakes depending on the size

Mango Fruit Salad | How to make Mango Fruit Salad | Medley-Of-Flavours

Fruit salad is a dish consisting of various kinds of fruit, sometimes served in a liquid, either their own juices or a syrup. In this recipe I used mango purée as the liquid. In different forms, fruit salad can be served as an appetiser, a side salad, or a dessert. 

                                  



Ingredients:
  • 1 Mango
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 apples
  • 1 pomegranate 
  • 3 bananas
  • Few cashews
  • 2 tbsp sugar
Preparation:
  • Chop the mango. Add them to a blender.
  • Transfer it to a bowl.
  • Add sugar and milk to the blender. Blend them smoothly.
  • Chop apple and bananas to small pieces.
  • Chop cashews.
  • Add the chopped fruits, pomegranate and cashews into the mango and milk mixture.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
  • Garnish it with few more chopped cashews and pomegranate seeds.
  • Mango fruit salad is ready to serve.
Preparation time: 15 mins
Servings : 3-4
