Sugar chapati is made of sugar and ghee. Also called sweet/caramel chapati.
Ingredients:
- 1 n 1/2 cup Wheat flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Oil
- Sugar
- Ghee
Preparation:
- In a bowl mix wheat flour, salt and oil together.
- Add water slowly mix well and make chapati dough.
- Cover the dough with wet cloth and let it rest for 10-15 mins.
- Take some flour on a flat surface.
- Take small portion of dough and cover it with flour.
- Place dough on rolling surface and roll it using rolling pin.
- Roll the dough into a small disc.
- Put 2 tsp sugar and ghee in the middle of it and mix well.
- Bring the edges of disc together. Join the edges and press it in the center.
- Dust it with some flour and start rolling it again to 5-6 inch diameter approximately.
- Heat a tawa or frying pan.
- Cook both sides of chapati till it turns golden brown colour.
Cooking time: 30 mins
Servings: 4 to 5 chapatis
