Potato rice is one of the great lunch box recipes. It tastes great and easy to cook.
Ingredients:
- 5 potatoes
- 2 onions
- Oil for deep fry
- 1 cup peas
- 1 tsp Jeera
- 1 n 1/2 cup rice
- 4 cup water
- 1 n 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 10 green chillies
- 1/2 tsp Dhaniya powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- In a pressure cooker, take rice,water,peas and cook till 2 whistles.
- Chop potatoes into cubes and deep fry till it turns light golden brown.
- Take a pan and heat 3 tsp oil.
- Add jeera and chopped onions saute them well.
- Add ginger garlic paste, split green chillies, dhaniya powder, jeera powder,garam masala powder, salt and mix well.
- Now add deep fried potatoes, cooked rice and peas together and mix well.
Cooking time: 40 mins
